THE QUOTE, IN ITS THREE COMPONENT MOVES

1. «Փաշինյանը տոն է բերել» — "Pashinyan brought the holiday." The construction makes the head of government the subject and the holiday the object. Not "the state celebrates," not "the citizens mark the day," not "April 25 has come" — but Pashinyan, personally, has brought the holiday to Artik. The grammatical agency is total. The holiday is, in this framing, a Pashinyan-personal gift.

2. «բոլորս ուրախ ենք» — "We are all happy." Collective subject, declarative present-tense, no qualifier, no individual exception. The same rhetorical register as the «Ձեզ հետ ենք» Armtimes headline. Same village, same script template, same news cycle.

3. «խորոված կերանք» — "We ate khorovats." Past tense. The BBQ is, by the time of the quote, complete. The supportive citizens have been fed. The political-image management has been delivered as a meal.

What The Quote Confirms

PUBLIC RECORD Across the past 48 hours, Armenian opposition press, OWL, and assorted commentators have referred to the "April 25 Pashinyan khorovats" — the BBQ scheduled by the Prime Minister for the day after the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The framing in our earlier piece, "Condemn The Citizens, Book The Barbecue", treated the BBQ as a Prime-Ministerial-residence private event. The Oragir.news quote attributed to the Artik participant updates that picture: the BBQ was not (only) a private residence event. It was a public, staged event in Artik, distributed to the same participants who had earlier delivered the «Մր Փաշինյան, Ձեզ հետ ենք» scripted-praise headline.

Two facts compound. The Artik supporters — whose curated demographic profile was already the subject of Hraparak's bus-in allegation from the prior Maralik stop — were also the BBQ recipients. The same security-detail / event-organisation infrastructure that, per Hraparak, transported elderly women to Maralik in cars to deliver staged praise, was also responsible (at minimum, plausibly) for the Artik khorovats distribution. The BBQ was an extension of the day's communication architecture, not a separate evening event.

Why The «Pashinyan Brought The Holiday» Framing Matters

April 25 is, formally, an Armenian state holiday established by parliamentary decision in 2010, eight years before Pashinyan came to power. The holiday is not, institutionally, a Pashinyan personal product. The participant's quote — "Pashinyan brought the holiday" — is therefore factually wrong in a specific, corrigible way. April 25 was already the holiday before Pashinyan was Prime Minister.

The slip from institutional fact to personal-gift framing is the political payload of the quote. In a country where, as our earlier piece on Pashinyan's «Քաղաքացին պետության Աստվածն է» documents, the Prime Minister has been performing a theological substitution that places the citizen in the slot historically held by faith, having a participant publicly say "Pashinyan brought the holiday" is the citizen-side complement of the same substitution. The state holiday becomes a Pashinyan gift; the Prime Minister becomes the Republic's gift-giver-in-chief; the structural difference between elected office and personal patronage is rhetorically erased.

That this rhetorical move appears in a participant quote — rather than in an official Pashinyan statement — is, in propaganda-architecture terms, the most efficient deployment. The Prime Minister cannot say "I brought the holiday" without it sounding self-aggrandising; a supportive citizen can say it for him.

The participants who said «Փաշինյանը տոն է բերել. խորոված կերանք» have eaten the closing course.
